It needs new cams.  And maybe a stroker flywheel.

And that was one of the first thoughts that crossed my mind.  Have you seen the video of the itty bitty fully functional Chevy small block?  Runs on regular auto fuel if I remember correctly and fits in the palm of your hand.  Those are machinists skills way better than I ever mastered or worked with tools to reproduce.

The level of detail is jaw dropping.  Actual bearings in the crank.  A little over 1 cubic inch total displacement.  Seven years to make it all.  Wonder how much trial and error (and breakage) went in to figuring out torque specs?
