How to ruin a $900+ fender
« on: March 26, 2010, 11:10:28 PM »

Be careless and drop a ladder on it  >:(

I ordered a new Russ Wernimont fender but it hasn't come in yet.
A week after I ordered a non returnable fender I found a used fender on eBay with some surface scratches. Got it for $111 shipped. $20 for the body shop and I'm good to go.

  Both occurrences deserve a big,"OUCH!"

It's good to hear they were given new life for a reasonable price.  :2vrolijk_21:

Just reading the story and looking at the pic gave that feeling in the stomach I hate.

Wish I knew Duane. Came w/ the trailer. 'Tis the roll in and it flips up in the back to capture the wheel type. It'll be in the trash once I remove it and replace it w/ the condor I bought.

That is the kind I use, Bike Pro, but never had any issues with it.

The tech at the dealer dropped the ignition switch on my tank when it was fairly new. Cost the dealer a new CVO gas tank and I had a tank with a divot on it for the summer.

When working on these things, you can't cover enough up.

Sorry to hear/see about the front fender Duane.  You don't have much luck with rears either.

At least they can be fixed/replaced easily.
