my radio on my flhtcuse3 comes and goes. dial stays light up as if playing no sound though,yet if i cut the radio off then back on it seems to play normal with sound. anybody here seen this.

There are tonnes of issues with the HK radios, use the search feature and you will see.

Welcome to the club, my bike is in the shop getting radio #3.

Nope, first one went out last summer, they replaced, second one went out last week, it's at the dealer waiting for radio # 3.  I asked them to check the fairing brackets, they looked at me like I was some kind of alien.  Exact same symptoms as a few others I’ve seen here, sound goes out but display is still there, when you toggle the speaker switch on the fairing several times it will come back on.

Timely update…Dealer just called and said nothing is wrong with the radio, it’s the HW amp…They called HW and they requested the amp be pulled and returned to them to inspect/replace.

I highly doubt its the hw amp!
