New chrome billet engine mount and chrome stabilzer link
« on: April 03, 2010, 10:56:14 PM »

Just a note to anyone that may be considering installing the chrome mount and stabilizer link that came out in the mid year catalog. You will need help to install the billet mount. The right side replacement bolt is 2", opposed to 1 1/2" being removed. The 2" hex head bolt hits the frame down tube and you will not be able to turn the bolt to thread it into the head, without having someone else to pry the engine over just enough to complete the task. The rubber mount allows you to do it, but it is a two man operation. And no, I do not have pics, sorry. Completed the work and then thought about the pics.

It sure is easier to put the Kuryakyn cover over it instead.  It takes about a minute and a half to install, since it's just adhesive holding it on and it looks good.

How about pictures of the finished product....

I will try to do that. The picture I don't have a problem with, just not sure how to get it from the camera to here. I see the attachment area at the bottom and will try to make it happen. The part does look much better than stock!
