I just came across a old post on these baffles and it was just in time as I was ready to give up on my 4' SE w/Fishtails.

Could anyone offer any tips on doing this mod and also do these baffles come pre drilled and tapped so you could mount the adapter end piece that the fishtail endcaps actually bolt up to?

TIA,

Go to this website as quite a bit of testing was done with cores and the Cycle Shack.

I would not recommend the fishtails as most of them neck down and end up restricting flow.  I had a 2001 RG CVO with these on and the bike showed to be all plugged up and the motor got way too hot from the exhaust being restricted.  Once we removed the fishtails and re-tuned all was good.

No restrictions with the fishtails that I can see, perhaps your thinking about a different muffler?

Fishtails are wide open, the Outlets are already drilled and tapped, they perform properly and sound great IMHO

One last question, I just ordered a PC V from Fuelmoto and had Jamie map it for the SE 4" stock baffle  and K&N RK-3930 AC. Would anyone know if this map would be ok with the new cyclechack baffles installed?

I have those baffles in the factory 4" 09 CVO pipe I installed them last year end of season, yet to have it tuned & still have the cat, 500mi plus no popping or pinging will be killing the cat and going to the tuner this week now that the weather is right  "DH"
