I saw mine this morning!  Its external and the jack is still silver.  Going to have to find a way to make it black!

Hmm...ok...thanks for checking it out Gunner  :2vrolijk_21:

I just got the revised parts manual for the 2010 CVO Ultra and it includes the mid year model.

Diagrams still show the external cable arrangement for the GPS to mate with the front mounted Aux jack.

Eric

Can you look up the part number of the pad mount for the GPS?

With such a beautifull bike, need to buy the CellSet system from CycleGadgets to make the entire HD system work as it should from the factory.  That is the GPS interupts the HD system (as it should) and you get full functionality of the HD system (ie CB, Intercom, XM, radio, MP3 etc).  Also, get phone use etc.

Best addon to my bike ever.

HD should by these guys and sell it (or better yet include it on the CVO's to start with).

don't see what all the hype is over that cable iv got 2200 miles on mine now and use the GPS every time i get on the bike and still have not used that cable its absolutely useless no matter were it is located. Really do you need to lision to that thing. its so good all you have to do is look at it      :nixweiss: :nixweiss: :nixweiss: :nixweiss: :nixweiss:

love my bike with or without the cable. They still could have done better with the cable thing.
Oh, and use nail polish (black) if the sight of the metal nut on the dash is too much.

If you ever decide to put an SD card in your Zumo and load it up w/MP3's you'll find out how import that cable is. It will be the only way you'll be able to hear them playing.

I say just run it into the fairing and out from under the radio like this:

Unfortunately the blacked out SEUC comes with it already wired w/a hole in the inner fairing just above the radio and a short audio cable that runs from that plug to the Aux port on the radio.

Oh. Well, it works and there's not a lot of excess wire hanging....oh who am I kidding. I'm sorry, but that's pretty ridiculous for a 40k Motorcycle.

Yea, I wouldn't have done it that way either :(... I'd have done it the way you have yours or either running it out one of the existing holes on the right side of inner fairing like I did....

Click here to see the picture larger.

With a black cable and black inner fairing you barely notice the cable. :nixweiss:
