Not really that hard, but annoying. Be sure to label the wires and be really careful when putting the new fairing on the brackets. The rest is just tedious--transferring gauges, speakers, etc. If you take your time it's not that bad.

How much work is the switch out? $400 is cheap for the look!

Yep, and worth every penny.  Bu those guys on those SRs are just trying to save a few bucks.....they need to get their wallets out and get the finished look. :huepfenlol2:

Much better w/ inner fairing painted. Fells like the MoCo is shortchanging w/ the Black ineer fairing. IMO...

Of course they are..that way they can use the same inner on all 3 SESG colors. Cheaper for them......

See you liked the fairing mounted mirrors as much as I did.Maybe next fall I'll get to painting an inner with
out the mirror mounting holes.

Wasn't crazy about the mirrors...and if you decide to change the bars to taller ones, they may block the morrors totally. Just keeping my options open..once you drill those holes in the new inner fairing you will need plugs if you decide to get rid of the mirrors later on.

Looks great.  One question though.  What is the button on the switch next to the cruise/spot toggle?

I have 2 acc switches, the cruise switch and the spot just to the left of the ignition switch is a plug to connect to my Zumo 660 GPS. SInce I didn't want it or the cradle on the bike all the time I cut the harness and installed a multi-pin connector so it can be removed when not in use. The black thing that you see on the bike is the waterproof cap for the connector. It didn't all go according to plan though...I lost MP3 functionality from the GPS for some reason through the connector. Since I have XM in the factory radio it didn't matter to me. As long as the power for the GPS worked I was satisfied. Maybe someday when I get bored I will attempt to get the MP3 part working . Or maybe Garmin will come out with a removable cradle for the GPS.

Now get yourself a hogpod, have it painted to match, and you'll love the sound and look.
