 I had the same concern since I was hoping for a Red but got a Yellow it was produced and shipped right after the color change. Was debating whether to close the deal right up until the moment we uncrated the Banana...then it was love at first sight. [smiley=love_1.gif]

 The inner fairing surprisingly is a non issue, for me at least, since I try to keep my eyes constantly moving... on the road ahead as well as side to side and checking the mirror's etc.

My primary color is red too. I even had the choice of getting a cherry before I got my Banana. I called my brothers to get there opinions as I only had a few hours to decide. One is a painter who told me to stick with the Yellow because you never can get the true color from a picture. My other brother said to go with my first instincts and I won't go wrong. For probably the first time in my life they both gave me good advice! :o

I was a little worried about that inner fairing too. Especially as the pictures started to pop up in them fluorescent lights. Almost looked like a lemon color! [smiley=nixweiss.gif] Had a lot of sleepless nights but it was well worth it! I have had no problem with the sun at my back staring at that beautiful inner fairing. Heck I even took my sunglasses off and still didn't effect me. That one is well over dramatized!

What I ask you Cherry's is do you have several hues or tints to your red??? Our banana's have a Yellow, Orange, and Green Hue or tint to the paint depending on the angle of the sun on that beautiful metal flake. Then depending on the time of day or if it's overcast the yellow can change again from a pale yellow to a orangeish or a bright yellow color. Also depending on background it will come alive....kinda like a chameleon! ;D

Anyway, I love her and she sure is pretty!!!! Very satisfied with color, hope you are too! [smiley=banana.gif] Don't care which color is the fastest, I know which color expresses its color more and that's the [highlight]YELLOW!!![/highlight] I also have had no problem seeing or finding my bike at any rallies I been at. dee dubya  did you miss our suggestion about the addin the factory spoilers to the tour-pak and saddlebag lids ?   Sure would look nice with that spoiler on the trailer  what do you say dude?  ;)

I'll admit,  when I first saw the color (Banana Yellow) on the HD website I thought whoa!!  they're gonna have a tough time selling those things.  I saw my first Banana at a little watering hole out near the desert and couldn't believe it.  I bought the extra set to squirl away for another day,  and my wife is already bitching to get this stuff out of my living room......I don'y want to pack it up.......Looks like I have my weekend project.

As for my take on the paint,  it has been a love hate relationship since I picked it up.  When I first looked at it I hated it.  After awhile I started to love it. When I look at the bike in the sun,  I love the old "metal flake" look.  The change from orange to green sparkles is IMOP "groovy".  I have not seen anything like it since the 60's under the influence of many old fashioned libations (LSD, Mary Jane, Magic Mushrooms).  It is a dresser like none other.  A combo of hot rod yellow and flames.  Sorry to show my age,  but I am tiered of Black HD
