Hi, I usually don't like the "newbie" title, but here I am and looking forward to the wisdom of the sites' members to fill my head with the right stuff.

I just acquired a FLSTFSE CVO. oh, let's call it what it is, a 2005 Fat Boy Screamin' Eagle CVO. I went all the way from California to Tenn. just to buy it. It's on the way to Southern Cal as I post this. It's has one of the "Grind" paint jobs.

I have another ride: an 2005 FXDLI Low Rider. (Love that bike!)

My first question has probably been covered many times. I searched, with not much luck. Got to get to know the site better, and I promise I will try not to post stupid questions.

Welcome to the site Kona.  Pipes are a very personal choice and you know some are louder than others.  Take a look at the FLSTFSE section their are several threads there which will show you pictures and provide some insight into sound and performance improvements you may get from a change from stock.  I gather the 05 you've just gotten is still stock.  Show us your new ride.

Welcome to the site. Go here to search for info on exhausts. When you get to the search page, make sure you click on the "check all" box (circled in red below) to remove check mark, then click on FLSTFE/FLSTFE2 Screamin' Eagle Fatboy in board to search in, and search all posts. This will give you information on what others that own the FLSTFSE/FLSTFSE2 have done for exhausts. Below is a picture of how the search page should look.

  welcome to the site.....hang around and you'll always find something to keep you entertained.......I'm a new guy too,   and I love this stuff..........almost got in trouble at work for seeing what was said last.   There's always good information here,  (IMHO,  sometimes better than the stearlerships.....) and we don't take shot's to often......(well,  maybe SPIDERMAN may, but that's just his way)......

I am going to weld my wallet to the garage floor, change the title on the house to someone elses Mom and find me a country girl who likes the simple things...like the wind, two wheels and bunch of friends doing the same thing.

Close my investments on wall street (i have 1), and get me the Fat Boy SE parts catalog and run amuck for one year buying what ever I can.

Then I will humbly pass on to the newbies the same advice as the wise ones have given me this day.

But, until then, it's on!!

 Sorry it took so long to welcome a fello So. Californian! I'm sure we'll see eachother sometime as I still work in the great SFV, grew up in Van Nuys, wifes home town too. Live up the hill from you in Lancaster :( for now.
 Took the wife riding on a friends Fatboy before we owned a bike and she was hooked [smiley=2vrolijk_21.gif], has been since. Hard to get her off the bikes long enough to put some of the chrome on [smiley=banana.gif] [smiley=jalapeno.gif]. See you out there on that awsome bike you have,  Wrongway

Welcome to the site [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif],  [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]you'll be glad you found us but like others have said, watch your wallet cuz this pace has a way about drainin it for you!

As far as the pipes go Check out Freedom Cycles. They have a custom setup for the softails. The pipes are similar to Reinharts and they have custom maps for the PCIII. If you have not found it there is a vendor tech section where you could post a question to one of there representatives.
