Need new tires on my 2000 Triple Red SERG Any Suggestions?
« on: April 10, 2010, 10:19:46 AM »

With all the different tires available now for our bikes I was just wondering if any of you have had good - bad - or indifferent experience with tires other than the Dunlop HD standard tires?  I have read a few threads where some of you were trying different tires on your bikes and would love to get some feedback on other brands before I replace my Dunlops.   :nixweiss:

Marty, no matter what definitely get the round ones.

Ok, smart ass mode = off.

I've had good experience with the E3 tires.  Better wet road handling than the stock Dunlops.  No great improvement in tire life but a little better handling.  My next set I'm trying the Michelin Commanders.

E3 is round and doesn't have a whitewall.  Aside from that I'll share with wingers.  Hey, they ride too.

Another vote for E3s. I went from Metz to E3 and got a huge difference in tire life... from about 6k on the Metz to 10k on the E3. The handling is on a par with the Metz, much better than the OEM Dunlops for Harleys.
