We were on the Ohio Turnpike when the traffic stopped for several miles in front of us. I slowed to crawl and waved my hand to slow to the cars in back of us and about a hundred feet before I reached the stopped vehicle in front of us a Ford SUV hit us going over 50 mph.

Terry got thrown off the bike and I horsed the bike under control and kept it up and stopped a few inches from the vehicle in front of me. The trailer took most of the impact and probably saved our lives.
The SUV hit us so hard that it had to be towed away.
The hospital released Terry after checking her over, but she is hurting tonight. The hospital staff were wonderful to us and drove us to the tow impound yard to pick up our stuff and then drove us to the airport in Toledo to rent a car to get home. As far as the bike...the flood boards, case covers, lower fairing, crash bars on the left side are toast. The trailer hitch is bent, so the frame pobably got bent too.
Hey, we are alive and had a wonderful trip. Thanks for a great time in MV and all the folks that met up with us along the way.
