FYI,If you enlarge the photo, you can notice a blk wire of some type, right on top of right side chrome bracket for the passager sissy bar. Looks like it's going into the right saddle bag. Could this be for an amp. for the speakers in the lower fairings?

If there were going to put an amp in, it would be in the fairing.  Anything else would be too stupid for even Harley.

I too agree, about putting an amp in the fairing! I was just pointing out that I saw a odd black wire coming from what it looks like the right saddle bag.

Back to the 'green' bike...........what's that wrinkled-look on top of the lowers?  Is it just my tired ole eyes not focusing correctly?  spyder
The lowers do look different. The wrinkle could be a reflection? To me the lowers look smaller and the speaker is turned up a little. could it be that the lowers fit with the mustache engine guard?

My bet is that the wire is for the detachable tour pac and the power locks.

I wonder if they are new lowers, if they finally made the vents power operated from a control on the handlebar?

Now that would be cool!  :2vrolijk_21:

I sense a hint of sarcasm here.  ;D

What detachable tourpak?  I thought that was for a detachable backrest on a Street Glide.  Maybe they put a brake lamp in the backrest and that's what the wire is for.

I was also thinking that it would be a bit strange to have the speakers in the lowers with exposed cones.  Wouldn't you think they would cover the speakers with grilles?  I guess all of this curiosity will be gone in a few more days and we'll know what's really coming out.  By the way, those lowers do look quite different, but I don't know if the engine guard looks like  a moustache bar.

Wouldn't surprise me if the SESG2 has a detachable tourpak this year. They did the same thing in 04/05.... 04's didn't have TP and 05's had detachable chopped TP.

Please see my previous post.  How do you suppose they get the juice from the battery pack in the saddlebag up to the electric motor?  Duh!
