I have owned 9 Harleys (6 CVO's) and at this moment I have three of them. I have ridden more than 100K miles in 10 years that I have been riding Harleys. I have participated in three Posses, Pony Express Route and on the way to Route 66 in September. I have crossed US from coast to coast in three opportunities. I have ridden in the 48 lower states and several countries in Latin America. NEVER, NEVER I have had the Harleys broken in the middle of the road..........short words: I LOVE HARLEY's especially CVO's!!!

Impressive.. and good news for me because I just purchased his first CVO...... my 05 Road King never left me stranded (well except for a flat tire).

I've not had any problems with my 103, but those of you who have never had a problem,
most not read the "Twin Cam" area of this website. Seems "we" are in the
minority of people who have not had problems. FACT is the problems seem to be
with the 110, and those looking the other way seem to be in Denial. I hope no one has
problems but read about everyone else. I've had a lot of friends left on the side of the road,
and are really glad that has NOT happened to you, or me.
I love my Harley, just want it to be better in the motor area. I hate to worry about the cam tensioner, the crank runout taking out the oil pump. I also worry about the catalytic converter
frying the engine etc, and these thing have happened often.
But I have not heard of many engine problems with the 110s in 2009 and 2010 models. So the end result is that the problems with the 110 engine are being ironed out and people are not questioning the motor much anymore. Now it is all about getting a better cam to boost the Torque and HP. The days of leaking head gaskets seemed to have passed.

WRONG!
I have 39000 miles on my 09 SEUC and I question the 110 everytime I crank it.
I am lucky to have a dealer that believes in good customer service.
I believe that anyone with a 110 that hasn't had issues is either very lucky or hasn't put enough miles on it.
For me and maybe only me (but I doubt it's just me) in comparison to my 01 SERG with 25K miles, my 03 Classic with 52K miles and Nancy's SEEG(s) my 09 110
is the least dependable motor in my garage. I'm not crying about it but after 39K miles and all the issues I have had, I am hoping I may have a motor in my 09 that I can finally feel good about. Time will tell!

And yet another reason why I choose to retain my 103!

I do indeed wish all of the 110 owners Good Luck but for me I must sit this one out for now....

I did cancel my deposit on the green one today.  I just like the true Harley colors of orange and black.  Green might just be a fade.  Should be here either by the end of this week or definitely next week.  I will post pics ASAP!!!!

...By the way, just read an editorial this morning on how HD is demanding give backs from the union
in Milwaukee
, but they still made $71 M the last quarter. It said in the paper they are off over 40%
from 2006. I'm thinking with all the demands, quality will not be going up anytime soon, either!

Noticed the moco stock went down today...a reflection on Wall Streets reaction to the new models?

Maybe Wall St. realizes the problem lies with the union. There are plenty of "Right to Work" States and moving may have to be an option. Look at Toyota.

This is the issue that makes me hesitate to purchase a new Harley. My 08 is my first, and to date, only Harley that has had so many problems:
-Cylinder liner slippage
-ECM
-Electronic Throttle Control System

On the other hand, she's the best handling HD I've ever tossed a leg over. On par with the new frame based on the new scoots I've tried.

I really like the B/O and the Black Diamond/Crimson SESG. However I hesitate to purchase new. I seem to finally have Lexi "fixed" with no down time this year. I'll decide after I see em in the sun light. If it grabs me, well  :nixweiss:

And Jeff I/we all know the issues you have faced with your bike.
I love my 09 SEUC but the facts are clear. Of all the Harley I have owned in the past 10 years it is the least dependable bike I have owned.
People can respond about how dependable their 110 has been but how many have 39000 miles on theirs?
I am extremely thankful for my dealer and some close friends on this site for their help that has been above and beyond the norm.
As I told Keith Wandell, if it wasn't for my dealer standing behind the Motor Companies product my 09 SEUC would have already been history.

I have been confused for over a year about this heat issue that everyone else seems to agree on.  I did one of those foolish tests this past weekend...with the temp around 93 degrees, I decided to ride in shorts for the day and see if this thing is hot or not.  I only ever took my 07 RK Classic out once in a pair of shorts and I thought I was going to die.  Well, just as I suspected, I had no heat problems whatsoever with my bike.  I sat in traffic jams, I rode, and basically everything I would normally do when I'm riding.  My 09 SEUC does not throw off anything even remotely close to what my 96" motor did.  After about 27,000 miles on this bike, I've finally decided to stop wondering when I'm going to experience all of this heat and just ride.  Maybe it's just the positioning of the D&D exhaust or the tuning, or maybe I just have a miracle bike.

Don't get me wrong. Black is my favorite color but I think the orange and black is going show better in the sun. Like the Tequila sunrise  street glide does.
