Question of the day
« on: February 05, 2006, 01:42:06 PM »

Why do paper plates stick together and are so hard to get apart?  I was havin a few  [smiley=drink.gif] lastnight and this thought went through my head. And no it was only the third one. It was either this or buy those blue bags on e-bay.

It saves money on manufacturing...

As they come down the assembly in sheets...they hit the cutter and crimper...and when they cut and (crimp, curl) them two at a time...later on
when there stacked...thats why two of them stick together....

If they ever design a system that does four sheet at a time...imagine the
frustration and chaos the country would be in....

Below,

And if you believe I aint full of BS...then you owe me a beer.

twolane - Man I really wanted those bags too.

The paper plate thing is kinda like HDs peeling chrome, socks that wont stay up, you know where I'm going here. It just rattles my cage.

My attitude is : If you gunna do it, do it rite.

Van der Waals Question - Why do substances stick together better when packed tightly? Target response - The atoms are closer together.
