Most Rediculous H-D accessory
« on: February 05, 2006, 04:47:40 PM »

Thought it might be fun to see what folks have to say on this topic.

My nominee is the little chit billet covers that go over your throttle and idle cable adjusters and the little billet clip to separate the cables About $80 for the two and you cold palm em both and still hold a beer (or some of Screamin Beagle's top shelf burbon) in one hand.

Anyone else ?

Sad obsessions are the bolts I replaced under my seat with Chrome ones.  What was I thinking ::)

That they are, cool enough anyway.  And that's the lesson of this little chat.  Ain't nothing is ridiculous if you you're the one that wants it.  Hell, I may even have to get some chrome bolts to put under my seat now  [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

I spent a couple of hundred years ago twice trying to get the chrome passenger floorboard brackets for my 95 RK - I couldn't find them from harley as they weren't listed as an available part back then but the chrome bracket for a softtail was so of course my first purchase from a guy who said he worked at a dealer and they would fit was the wrong one. Finally I got em but again paid plenty. I think they first came out on the first screamin eagle RK's then a few years later in the parts catalog, but I had to have them so I got them from ebay as a new part take off. That little black bracket just bugged me.
