OMG....I think I got bit or something.....YIKES 

Started innocent enough...was just thinking about hard bags for my SERK to take me through next winter....cruising the boards reading....thinking about some things SBB and a few others have said....thinking about the Black Ultra I'm buying in May (long story, a happy wife is a happy home  )...and then BAM...I got to thinking... ....I should have went to bed right then 

....the Ultra will stay in the garage all prettied up for when the wife wants to ride or we go on trips..../check

.....I will not ride the Ultra "rain or shine" through the winter like my SERK so it stays looking nice...even though it has the heated comforts and all that weather deflecting goodness going on up front..../check

....I'll keep my SERK for my bar hopping Saturday night BLING bike that I commute year round on...../check

....I'm gonna sell my SERK and replace it with a Street Glide for the added protection of the front fairing...durability of the hard bags...piece of mind of the newer motor....and a look that's killer..../che......../che..... ..... ....where the hell did THAT come from 

....it slithered in...all stealthy and quiet like....reared it's head up when I wasn't looking and....POW....bit me HARD

...that was two days ago....I didn't realize how fast the poison would travel...fighting it was futile...I turned traitor on my SERK faster than you can spell Treason...


Yesterday I lined up a buyer for my SERK....today was spent looking at the following pics  while in "recovery"....and wondering if there will be one for 2011 and what the colors/scheme might be....

You poor bastard.  It's a sneaky thing as you've discovered.  Puts a man('s wallet) down and he never knows what hit him.  Recovery isn't slow either.  And there's no apparent immunity.  Have heard of cases of multiple recurrence once infected.  You could be dealing with this for years.  You poor bastard.  Oh, by the way, love the choice .

So on a serious note...if I can find one...I think I'm still a little delirious and running a fever lol....I see that part of the air filter is exposed.  I been reading all the posts on this board starting with the oldest and working my way back to current, and I read they provide a sock for the cover to place on it when it rains.  I know not many of you maybe ride these CVO beauties in the rain constantly, and some might think I'm nuts because I do, but it is what it is and my primary ride gets ridden daily pretty much no matter what....and boy can in rain in WA state.  My question is, will the sock suffice heavy downpours on a consistent basis ?...should I look for a different cover ?....any advice/experience with/about it ?....I'm comprising a list of mods/changes you see and.....pffft...go figure....this is NOT an addiction SBB...it's a fricken disease LOL.  My commute is about 25 minutes, but a lot of the time it rains so hard I might as well pull into a car wash...park the bike and have them turn it on
