61382-05BSB for the two tone cherry.  No idea if it's restricted or not.  Would be surprised it isn't though.

Just looked at Chicago HD's website.  $1268.00 MSRP.  $968.00 with the discount they offer.  Almost afraid to ask Jeff.  Are you... um.... needing a tank?

Do you really want to hear about some a**ho** who egged my bike out in front of my house today during the Superbowl?

Oh man, that SUCKS!  I can't believe it when I hear crap like that.  People have no respect for other people's stuff these days.  What a bummer!

So it was not the egg itself that did the damage but the eggshell?  Man, must've been one tough bird! [smiley=nervous.gif]

I think it was pretty much a point blank throw--the bike was out in front for no more than 2 hours, and my wife's FXDLI was parked next to it to the right of my bike without getting hit.

Jeff, there are some folks out there who can work some flat out miracles with a bottle of touch-up paint and some 2,000 grit paper (wet).  Hopefully, it can work out that way versus having to get a new tank.  Undoubtedly, it is a protected part and that might introduce a whole 'nother set of circumstances such as having to give up the existing tank first.

Keep us posted and we're all hoping for the best!

Sorry to hear about the vandalism jdracing. :'(

I hope you can fix the problem with as little trouble and expense as possible.
I also hope the S.O.B. who did it get's caught and taught a lesson too. 8-)

Good luck.

Re: Cherry Tank Part Number?--Update

Well, enough of my CVO Bro's (and Sis's) out there have inquired concerning my tank/eggshell altercation that I thought I should update the situation.

First, the tank is, indeed, a VIN restricted part.

That's a sad situation Jeff........I was really sorry for you.  I am happy that you got a new tank that is a good match, though...........and in a timely manner. [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

Thanks for the kind words J.C.  It will be nice to get the tank on and not have to think about it anymore.
