I have an 07 ultra classic and am currently running 150/80/16 me880's. plenty of clearance. I am curious about the elite 3 160/80/16. I know that some tire sizes vary slightly from manufacturers. Does any one know if the elite 3's run a little wider or a little narrower? Or better yet has any body tried to put the 160 elite 3 on their bike. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Standard size for your bike is MU85B16 , with a width of 5.51" and a 25.71" diameter, mounted on a 3.0" rim.
The 160/80B16 is 6.10" wide, 26.10" in diameter, and requires a 3.5" rim.
In an E3 belted bias tire, I would suggest the MU90B16, which is 5.57" wide, 25.72" in diameter, and mounts on a 3.0" rim. The diameter is the same as stock, so there will be no affect on your speedometer.

PS. Metzler lists their 150/80B16 as 6.02" wide and 25.43" diameter, just in case you don't have that info. The load rating on that tire is significantly lower than the 77 rating of the stock tire, not sure if you realized that. The MU90B16 I recommended is the same 77 load rating as standard, and the 160/80 has a higher rating of 80.
