Saddlebag Lid Bra Kit
« on: April 27, 2010, 05:45:39 PM »

I had these on my previous couple of bikes (HD part # 57805-03A).  Bought new ones for the SESG and they seem to be too small to properly fit.  Anyone else have them?  How's the fit?  Doesn't say anything in the catalog about not fitting the SESG.  :nixweiss:

I was unaware of any difference between SESG lids and regular lids. I have a set of the SESG saddlebags (lowers) on my  bike and my original lids seem to fit those bags fine. I guess the lids could be taller or something, but I just don't see it.

I've had the Kuryakn lid covers before, and they always fit pretty good.

+1 Motorcycle Armor. Water gets under the bras and the heat in the bags peels the velcro tape.

Yep Bought mine and fitted even before I took it for a ride. They fit the lids no problem just stretched them real tight over the lids and they I agree don't look the best thing in the world but neither does a big heelboot scratch over the top of the lid !! :'(

DK,
I have a set of Saddle Bag Covers that I purchased from one of our forum members.
They are used, but still in good shape.
I have never put them on.
All it needs is the velcro necessary for the covers to fit to.
If anyone could use these, let me know.
I will get rid of cheap!!

They are better looking than the black bra, but the concept reminds me of my grandmother's slip covers.
Have seen them on the front of a yellow Ferrari and from any distance they are invisible.

Agree.  I only protect the bags when I take a longer trip.  The HD product has worked well for me through the years and I'll stick with it.  I think I'll try my install of the new ones I bought when the temps hit 80 and I can do it in the sun.  I just think the vinyl needs to be a bit warmer to stretch a bit.
