Nobody talking about Kuryakyn Perfect Storm
« on: April 29, 2010, 12:13:44 AM »

Hi all,
Long time lurker, first time poster...
I just got back from the Laughlin River Run. Had the Kuryakyn Perfect Storm system installed on my 2009 CVO UC. Incredible difference! Runs cooler, better mileage, 20% HP/torque gains, reasonable volume from the pipes when cruising with a solid growl when accelerating. I'm curious if anyone else has this setup. They use a TTS Mastertune that has been optimized by their engineer. Seems like such a great setup and yet I can't find much chatter online about it. Maybe it's too new?

74 versus 97 on HP, 90 versus 115 on torque for a 110 SE motor. This is according to the dyno graphs I was shown and that are posted on their web site. So closer to 25% and 27%...I definitely noticed a big difference....

Just looked at the package on Kuryakyn's website.  Reading your original post I misunderstood the kit to be just a tuning package.  See now that it's a breather/exhaust/TTS tuning package combination.

Just a retune would've had to say that the claims failed the sniff test.  As an entire package it's certainly within the realm of acceptable advertising.  Most important, of course, is that you're pleased with how it works.  Glad you're enjoying it :drink: .

Yep, it's a whole system. No cat...It's around 1600.00 for the whole deal but there are options with air cleaners etc. Web site has details...This does not include labor...Fortunately the team in Laughlin was able to install the whole setup and didn't charge me an arm and a leg for the labor.
I'm just suprised at how little I had heard about this prior to the Laughlin run. Not much data out there but I am guessing this is becuase it's fairly new. I really like the look as well...

That's at the crank, not the rear wheel.  In reality a stock 110 is more in the range of about 94 lb/ft tq at the rear wheel.
