Hi-Output Slip Ons or Monster Ovals?
« on: April 29, 2010, 08:22:34 AM »

After reading through this forum I've decided on Power Duals head pipes for my '10 CVO Ultra coupled with either Hi-Output slip ons or Monster Ovals. Does anyone know what the perf difference between the two will be?
On my old softail I had Big Shots - great fun on a cruiser, too loud for a tourer. Does anyone know how the Hi-Outputs compare to Big Shots for noise?
It looks like the Monsters sit lower on the bike - are there ground clearance issues?
Any help appreciated!

Just put the V&H Tue Duals and Monster ovals on mine.  Performance is good and heat is gone, still up in the air with the sound, when cruising at 70 two up it rumbles pretty good, but the sound increases dramatically when the throttle is cracked.   Have not take a long tip with it yet, so until I am out on the highway for 8 or ten hours I will know better about the sound level.  It sounds good,, just not sure of the level for touring.  I can't see any difference in clearance over the stock mufflers, and if there is it is beyond where I ride anyway.
