Harley Catalog
« on: April 29, 2010, 10:46:25 PM »

I use to get a new Harley catalog every year and supplemental catalogs through out the year.
After spending the big bucks last year on a CVO, no catalogs this year.  :nixweiss:
Cut backs by the company? I am a share holder also. Come on HD.

You're right, use to get the clothing chit and other pubs.....  nothing anymore other than ad to buy a new bike, which since I just bought a CVO Ultra, kinda makes all discussions about buying another bike a pipe dream. (unless I want to get divorced, which I don't)

I still get all that stuff sent to me.  :nixweiss:  Just got one today.  I think it is all related to your dealer, not the MOCO.
Many of the dealers did cut back on sending the "chrome Bible" through the mail but will gladly hand them out when you are in there spending money.

I just received a supplement catalogue in the mail a few days ago, so they're still doing it.

Our local dealer will gladly give you one.  For $6.95, even if you just bought a bike.  Well, that might give you a 10% discount on it if you just bought a bike.   :confused5:  :nixweiss:

i'd like to not get all the crap i'm sent by the moco. my poor mail man's gonna get a hernia bringing me all the worthless crap that winds up in the trash.
i don't need a catolog to make up my mind on an accessory or a part that i need, when i want something i go to the web and do my shopping that way.
saves on the environment and my poor mailman's back.

I like to have a catalog.  I get funny looks if I take a computer to the 'library'! :nixweiss:

I got a nice letter from Harley talking about being a CVO owner and a booklet showing the new CVO's a couple months ago.

Once upon a time they were free at my dealer too.  I guess they feel they will sell more parts, by putting fewer catalogs in people's hands.

More like sell less!!! How you going to sell something to someone if they can't see it.... and we all know the best time to look at the P&A book is while in the "library". :D :D
