PCIII Rev Extend

Its finally available!!  [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif]The kit is $40.00 and comes with a programmer that connects to the PCIII to update its firmware, 9v adapter, software, and special cable. The rev limit is then bumped to 6200 rpm. There is also a new feature that allows you to add start up fuel. I ordered mine today direct from Power Commander at 1-800-992-4993.

I'll report back in a couple of days on the install

It's nice they finally got that done.  Having the Stage I download done would certainly cost more.  But you'll gain the change in the rev limiter while also having the insurance of a better map installed just in case the PC ever takes a dump a day or two's ride from home.

i rec mine but the pc111 i rec in july is 805-510 so i wont work. what next? DUDE help me out on this

Looks like you need a XXX-511 probably an updated version?  Let us know what you find out, but probably means it won't work on my old 04 model PCIII.

It will work on the 805-510, confirmed with PC today. I will install mine tonight and let you know how it turns out.

i couldnt get it to run right. i put the disc in and clicked on update pc111 and it asks to insert disc. im confused but whats new [smiley=banana.gif] [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

I did not get a chance to install mine last night, Going to try again tonight and will let you know how it goes. Give me a call and I'll help you do it over the phone

Mine shipped yesterday,  UPS ground,  should be her in a few days (only coming from Vegas,  shoot,  I can almost hit a glof ball to Vegas from here).  Can wait though.......been waiting and calling Dyno.....they said they wanted to have it ready for Daytona.......

Got my Freedom FLH package, yesterday. Call James at Freedom today, and asked about the Rev extend function. He said for them, it will be about 2 months before release. They wanted to get in and Run extensive dyno runs on the bikes before they will be upgrading. They wanted to male sure they have a great performance package for everyone.
When they are done he will post information to the site to let everyone know, and we can they ship the Power Commander PCIII's back to then for an update and the loading of a new map. The turnaround time should not be very long, and they will get them out as fast as possible.

The rev extend feature does not change the map in any way, all it does is set the rev limit higher. I installed mine tonight (I have the Freedom setup) and all is well. There really is not a need to wait in mt opinion.

I have had my PCIII USB for about a year.  Can you still add the rev limiter to this unit? I was looking for some kind of blurb on the PC web site but don't see anything.  Is this something you have to call the company directly and order?
