I used to make custom length helmet drop cords but my cable supplier went out of business last year and I have not been able to find another supplier that offers the cable for a reasonable price. I am still looking for a supplier.

If you can not find one reply back to this post or email me as I can acquire cable but the price is 2 times what I was paying and I will make a custom length cord for you if you don't mind paying about $1.25 an inch, which would make a 30 inch cable $37.50 + the shipping.

I used to make 12" extensions but a custom one piece cord is better then an extension because the extensions had a thing for coming apart at the connectors.

You can also take a hair dryer and heat the cord you have. When the cord gets very warm it will become pliable and you can stretch it. Hold it until it becomes cool again and it will stay in that position.
