How Close are Harley Davidson Projected Delivery Dates?

Well it's down to 8 days until the May 10 delivery date of a Tequilia Sinrise Street Glide. As the excitment builds are the dates accurate or mostly one way or the other?

Mine was scheduled to ship on March 26 and I took delivery on Mar 26.  I was shocked when I called the dealer to see if it was still scheduled for the 26th and she told me it shipped the 17th.

Supposedly the bike was built but HD would not ship until there was a full truck, and there was a minor production halt late last year.  In the old days HD would deliver one bike no problem, but now I beleive they are not doing their own trucking anymore so they need to fill the trucks to make it more profitable?

Sounds painful unless the weather wasn't good for riding.

It was winter in Chicago as I waited, yes.  But I did want to get some mods started though.
