Paint Problem, Dealership backing or not??
« on: February 09, 2006, 11:30:16 AM »

Id like to know, for those of us who have the bad Crimson paint job, how has your Dealership helped you/not helped you with this issue?, I travel a lot during Football season mainly, and I hunt down HD stores to buy the tee-shirts etc. for myself, family and my friends. I'd like to know where, to spend my money , and where to stop buy and let them know why I will not be spending a dime with them, when I normally would. In fact, I will just email the ones that dont stand behind their customer, they are not worth the time to even visit.

I bought mine at oakland (drons) The service manager more than blew me off, almost acted like I was annoying him with my problem, but after having the Rep come to look at my bike, the service manager told me "theres nothing we can do" and when I protested that decision,  was nice enough to refer me to the customer care number in my Harley handbook, what a guy!. The saleguys have been great, they are the ones who said there is power in numbers, look for other guys with the same problem. Of course, quietly when no one in the office was looking. I can guarantee, they will be doing no service or warranty work on my scooter, nor will I do my annual x-mas shopping spree there any more.

The best news, is I have not filled out either customer survey yet, the one from the dealership, or the one from HD. its not going to be very pretty.

Of course, I should add, Im lucky enough to have another dealership (McQuires in San Ramon) close enough to shun Bob Drons. And my friends all rave about their customer service.

Hi cigarmike,
I like you idea about passing along dealership reviews. Maybe "the powers that be" on this site could start a seperate thread with a dealership listing with like a five star rating system with spaces for reviews to rate sales, service etc.? It would be great if someone didn't have to search all the different threads to get info good or bad about a dealership. [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

It doesn't take a Moderator to start a thread. [smiley=nixweiss.gif]
