There will be a civil war in this country soon. It's not going to be pretty.

There may already be but the Mason-Dickson can't be located on Gooooogle. The price of freedom is high. The price of disrespect is outrage.

Here's what I just don't understand.  All immigrants leave their country for a reason.  Then they come here and expect America to change to be like what they just left.  WTF??????!!!!!!!  How many of us travel abroad and demand English paperwork?  How about forcing people to learn English so you don't have to learn their language?  I'm just at a loss for what goes through people's minds.  Either come to this country and BE an American or GTFO.

I included the email addresses for Mr. Boden, the prinicpal and for Dr. Wes Smith, Superintendant of the school district so that everybody here could send a quick email expressing their thoughts to both.

JC I'm hoping others follow your lead and write too.  Folks... how about it?  Write to everyone you can think of on this one.  Thanks!

These were " high school kids" and I'm sure there is more the story than we know. Lets be glad there was no violence and no one was hurt. I feel the same way, but it was a good quick way to defuse what could of been a racial riot.
Let's hope it don't develop into one. Besides I sure they enjoyed the day off of school.

What? Are you serious? These "high school" kids are just reflecting on the bigger problem... the things they hear in their communities and homes. It is a small window into their homes and evidence of the unappreciative parents and grandparents that are raising them. You think they have as nice a school in the neighborhoods across the border? No, not at all. That's why there here, and not there.

Don't get me wrong, I welcome them, as long as they choose to participate, respect, and contribute to our society. But at the first sign of disrepecting our society or nation, then their a$$es need to be living in tar-paper shacks and washing their rags in the river, down in "their" country. This is bull$hit, and you and I both know it.

Too goddamn late my friend... did you forget about the thousands of "Americans" who are buried in foreign soil? They lost their lives fighting for our freedom and the same flag that these little punks are disrespecting.

Good thing George Washington, and hundreds of thousands of others didn't develop that limp-wristed philosophy. I don't want to see anyone hurt either, but at some point we need to roll up our sleeves and do work.

Apologies, but now someone is dancing on that same nerve that was struck earlier.

Not sure which little punks you're talking about, the Mexicans or the 4 kids who purposely "baited" them just to stir up chit and get attention.  As for the statement about the parents and grandparents, I could also read that both ways.  Wonder what kind of conversations go on in the homes of the kids who went out of their way to stir things up?  Don't suppose there's any talk about all those "illegals" or "spics" do you?  Kind of like all those conversations about "Negro's" back when I was a kid, or "shanty Irish" way before that, etc.

BTW, do you even know what Cinco de Mayo is all about?  If I remember correctly, it wasn't about the USA, it was about a Mexican battle against the French.  What does that have to do with them "disrespecting our society or nation"?  Are you speaking for the French perhaps?  Maybe we should quit celebrating St. Patrick's Day, since we don't want to disrespect folks who aren't Irish or Catholic, or those who love snakes.  Concerning disrespect, you might also try reading the US Code concerning the US Flag and the protocols for displaying it.  Wearing it's likeness on a T-shirt to stir up chit isn't one of the approved methods of displaying the flag.

We desperately need our Federal idiots to fix the illegal immigration problem, and then perhaps the rest of us legal immigrants can learn to get along without all the bigotry.  In case you've never thought about it, pretty much all of us, excluding Native American Indians of course, are immigrants.  Doesn't matter if you're first generation, fifth generation, or tenth generation; your "rights" aren't any better than my "rights".  And you aren't required to give up the traditions of your ancestors to become a citizen of this country.

I said it before, and I meant it sincerely.

So you believe they should be denied the right to wear the resemblance of our flag? What if they only wear it while standing on Main Strreet while they observe the annual Fourth of July parade? The same parade that honors our country, our patriotism and all we stand for.

Look, I'm not trying to start trouble... all I'm saying is that we all know there are folks within our borders that don't give a rat's-a$$ about our country. But as soon as there's anything here that they can benefit from, they'll accept it.

I believe everyone deserves a good life, and opportunities to improve their way of living. And as I've said before... I'm good with that, by all means. But don't come here and talk about how great the country they fled from is, while reaping the benefits of ours. That would be like your displaced neighbor coming over and eating at your table, all the while talking about how great the food is at their house.

We embrace immigrants, I just think they should embrace us equally as well. And I will ask you, do not EVER accuse me of being a bigot.

Immigrant : a person who comes to a country where they were not born in order to settle there. I am not an immigrant.

I think you are really missing the point. I dont care WTF cinco de mayo is about ! I dont care about some legals, illegals or anyone else that wants to paint Mexico colors on their face, shirt or ass.

With that being said there certainly should be NO issue with some kids who want to wear our colors regardless of the date.  Mexican holiday or not they were on American soil.

If the school wanted to correct the problem they should have not allowed anybody to wear anything resembling mexican or American colors. Remember no tolerance in schools.

My son wears one all the time. Thats even more ridiculous. but most schools are pretty crazy when it comes to no tolerance, lots and lots of stories where there is no common sense.

There is always hope....my state is passing a bill to allow permit holders to carry and conceal weapons at the airport.
