2008 110 CVO ultra (more Power ?)
« on: May 07, 2010, 11:18:30 AM »

I have already instlled a race tuner different screaming eagle exhaust and brather kit. I still want some more power, a friend recommended a 255 cam. Should that be the next step or does someone have a better idea?

Your motor has that cam in it now.
Please define what your interpretation of "more power" is. Specifically what do you want to have?

After you installed the "race tuner", then what?  Did you just use one of the MoCo canned maps, or did you have a highly qualified person do a full custom dyno tune?  A good tune will make a bigger difference than any other single modification I can think of.  If you haven't done that yet, it would be my first recommendation.

As Deweysheads said, your 110 already has 255 cams in it.  That cam is heavily biased toward the bottom end, which is normally considered a good thing for a bagger.  What exactly do you want when you say more power?

I am by no means an expert, but the guys here helped me a lot and I trusted them.  I am riding an '08 SEUC and have had the SE Fatshotz Slip Ons, 10.5/1 Compression Pistons, 259E Cams, Heavy Breather and the SE Pro Super Tuner installed and dyno'ed.  The results are 111 ft lbs tq and 104 hp.  11% increase in torque and 30% increase in HP.  Nice sound, great power through almost all rpms.  Frankly I am lovin it.  By the way, it was such a good selection on parts that H-D now has a kit with all of it included.  Looked for the part number online and could not find it.  Look in the mid year parts catalog.

If your looking for alittle more without breaking the bank I had the SERT, SE high flow intake, and a D&D fatcat on my 08 SERK after a dyno tune it made 96 hp and 109.6 torque.

IIRC, Herko had a CVO 110 with no headwork, D&D BossCat, SE Breather, and CR575 cams that made 120tq/102hp.

Might be worth a phone call!

A recent dyno tune on my 2010 CVO Street Glide resulted in 93.2 HP @ 5196 RPM and 114.6 ft-lbs TQ @ 3094 RPM with stock SE255 cams, Fullsac X-Pipe (B), Fullsac 2' core baffles and SE Ventilator.  I'm happy with the results.
