Handle controls for fairing !!
« on: May 09, 2010, 08:40:11 AM »

Hello Lady's and gents I have a Dragonfly fairing and would like to add the handle controls for the radio . I would like to buy the controls from Dragonfly because they look very close to the stock hand switch's but they are no longer selling them with the module thats needed to make the hand controls work using a Kenwood radio I have looked at Biketronics package with hand controls but they really are know something I like .I was just wondering if any one can add a little help thank you . :)

i used the HD switches that go into aux switch housing, they sell them for the road-tech radio that goes on a road king. but i removed them. i had them wired into a module that worked with sony head units. but 1/2 the time they would do nothing or do the wrong function. i'd say 95% of the time i only touch volume while riding, so i just twist the dial on the head unit

I had the same setup you are doing on my road king with a dragonfly I used a part called a pac interface used all of the stock harley controls with the kenwood radio worked flawless never had any problems I think I still have some of the info for the interface radio shops use them on vehicles with steering wheel controls to control aftermarket radios.
