Any Utah CVO Riders out there?
« on: May 11, 2010, 07:20:49 AM »

What is the weather like this time of year.  Will be out there by the end of this week flying into Grand Junction... from there off to all the great destination spots, moab, zion etc.  The weather as I see it on the weather channel says to expect mid sixties to mid seventies...   Give the altitude changes I suspect it might be a tad bit cooler in reality.

Packing space in the bike is a commodity... would chaps be recommended this time of year.  I'm guessing yes...

Sounds like you have a nice ride planned Matt.  Zion, Bryce and Monument Valley are all great places to see and ride. :2vrolijk_21:

I lived in Utah for a couple of years (years ago).  I think you're going to need those chaps when you start out in the mornings, for sure.

Hey Matt, have a great time out there, it's quite senic. We were out there a couple of years ago riding and the high plains can have lows in the 20's and high's in the low 50's. You'll make it work though. Have fun and hi to Mel. Roger and Melanie

That's MMA that we watch. :2vrolijk_21:

We think about you two all the time, too.  Never forget the big detour around Golden Gate Park due to some triathalon or something. :nervous:

Look forward to your next trip out here.  What did you have in mind?  Maybe Tahoe, Hwy. 49, Yosemite? :nixweiss:  Can see a lot more and get a lot more riding in when we avoid the large metropolitan areas. :2vrolijk_21:

The buisness that put this Utah trip together does a number of different trips like this throughout the year to all places over the country. He may be doing a similar adventure out to Cali.  Otherwise there's another group of us that have been talking about making the trip.  Some folks want to start or end all the way up north much farther then we went while out visiting you guys. I suspect that we would do a similar if not exact route that we did earlier with similar start locations and ending much farther north...

We'll have to talk more about that as time draws closer.

Hey Roger,  Would you believe Mel is still trying to get her Corbin seat issues straightend out..?   They shaved the seat down twice already and she still can't flat foot...  I just bought an air ride suspension system that I'll be installing after we get back...  I think That'll do it.  I think Corbin is just too conservative when they shave or mod seats...
