Thanks for all the info everyone.  You've given me plenty of options to ponder.  Great info, as always on here.   :2vrolijk_21:

Part of my purchase was that the dealer was to install the 6.5 klockwerks. They installed it today and I will report the results. I'm 6-0. After the ride home it seemed to help alot but that's only 8 miles.

ClearView best screen I have used I'm 5"10" and sitting on a stock seat the 4.5 is perfect you can see well over it and the wind is not in my face (no bugs on my glasses).

6.5" Klockwerks here and below 45 mph which is all I have experience with seems to get rid of most of the buffeting. I will post higher speeds when I experience them.

From what I hear most of the guys on this forum exceeded 45 mph leaving the showroom floor with their new SESG's....  :huepfenlol2:

Racerdj originates from the mid 1990's when I raced a Vintage 1979 Formula Atlantic March with a four cylinder Cosworth. It seems like my prior life. We ran Mid Ohio, Road America, Watkins Glen, Seebring, Road Atlanta, Homestead, West Palm Beach and other tracks.

Replaced stock screen with 6.5" Clearview with recurve. Eliminated buffeting on the helmet (I'm 6'). Still was getting beat up by airflow under the fairing, especially with feet on highway pegs. Added adjustable wind deflectors to fairing and eliminated the problem, even on the highway.

Finally tested at 75 and it works for me. Does not solve the buffeting 100% but probably 90% which is acceptable.

I bought the 9.5" windshield for my SESG from F4 Customs.  They have all sizes from short to 15" tall.  I bought the tinted version with their speed coating and what they say about being unable to scratch the windshield, when cleaning is absolutely true.  There's no recurves or anything to their windshields, but I'm 6'4" tall and the 9.5" works perfectly for me.  No buffeting of the helmet.  I'm very happy with it.

just another opinion, but I use two different clearview shields with the recurve. I like the 8" for local riding and the 9 1/2 inch for highway trips because of rain. They both work perfectly delivering the wind and rain "over" my helmet.

however, air coming from other directions were very annoying on the SG for me. So, I put the two adjustable wings on the side of the batwing, and installed the metal scoop between the forks that redirect the air downward. now it is like riding in a car. No rain or air when not wanted and better air flow if you open the wings and direct that fairing air flow towards you.

I do get an occasion scratch from rocks being thrown up, etc. but I bought the clearview kit which has three grades of scratch removal and polish ability. that stuff works wonders. I even used it to take the scratches out of a softail shield after dropping the stupid thing on a gravel road...
