Black or Chrome Exshaust on Black Ultra
« on: May 11, 2010, 03:56:41 PM »

I can not decide what exshaust to put on my Black Ultra when it gets here. Thought I would go chrome but now Im thinking the black will look nice.  What is everyone going to put on theirs???  Im going to use the FBI 2 into 1 unless there is a better exshaust out there..  Has anyone used the FBI???

Go to FuelMoto.com.  They have a black carbon fiber slip-on that looks great as well as is much cooler and sounds great  A little pricey but hey, the bike wasn't cheap..

That said, my buddy bought the D&D 2 into 1's in all black.  Very cool.

Black would look great on that bike.

Don't have the bike but I would go for the black exhaust if I did. Take a look at this thread - It took from June to Nov. to finish, but here is my version of a SESG IMO this is the best you can get when going w/the blacked out theme. :2vrolijk_21:

Not to throw a wrench into this (as you can see I like the D&D very much), look at this web page for the carbon slip-ons

http://www.jackpotmufflers.com/carbon.htm

Looks like it would be just enough black and just enough chrome to look great on that beautifull bike.  I had D&D's and they look great, sound great and run great but are very, very loud (even with the quiet baffles).  Plus I don't like the ghost pipe.

JMHO, Carbon fiber is a good fit for those Honda Civic and other Jap stuff...

The black Vance & Hines Hi-output slip-ons with chrome tips would be a better choice... again JMHO and taste.

Funny stuff. Imagine if your bike sounded like one of those euro muffled pretend sports cars after putting on the carbon fiber mufflers. You'd have to add the giant spoiler to your rear fender- they seem to go together.
