Jesse, is this shield the same height or taller than the stock shield on your bike. I'll be very interested in pics after you install it.

I think its the same height as the stock CVO but 3 inches shorter than the standard Ultra. I swapped my CVO shield for a standard Ultra shield soon after I bought the bike. So I've been riding with a 13 inch standard Ultra windshield. I'll be losing 3 inches with the LRS. I'm concerned it will be too low but we shall see. It already shipped so it should here in a few days.

Jesse, don't want to bring you down but ended up in your boat last week.  Bought the 10" X treme which replaced a standard Ultra shield (12 or 13 inches or whatever they are) and installed it on Saturday.  Went around the block once and said this is a bad deal as the wind is right in my face.  I am 6'3" so may not effect you the same way but will be selling a brand new smoked 10" in the next couple of days.  I made the mistake of removing the protective plastic.  Suggest you try it first before taking off the palstic so that you could still return it.  Positively, it is incredibly Saturday and well made.

I suspect I will have the same outcome as you. I will give it a try though. What shield are you think of trying next?

I just ordered the 12" Clearview with Recurve.  People seem to like it.  Production time, though, is 3 to 5 weeks.  In the interest of time I also ordered a blem.  From what I have read, their blems are almost undetectable.  I expect the blem shield next week and will give you a report.  The blem shipped was under $100.  The new shield actually wasn't much more than that as Clearview provides a 10% discount to CVO members.

Dan,
Did you consider the LRS Ultra 12"? I'm looking at that one as well as the Clearview 12" w/recurve.

No, in fact just saw that one now with your post.  Looks like a great option.  Wish I would have saw that.  I was very happy with the quality of the X-Stream so can only assume that this is made equally as well.

I went ahead and ordered the 12 inch Ultra. I haven't even tried the 10" xtreme yet but my gut tells me it's just not going to work. I'll post my findings in a few days.

I decided that I had probably ordered the wrong shield. So I contacted LRS to see about exchanging the 10" Xtream for a 12" Ultra. I have not even opened the box. While their communication is rather slow in responding, once contact was made the exchange will be no problem as long as I agree to pay freight. I'm ok with that so when the Ultra 12" arrives I'll give it a go.

Stay "tuned".

I don't see where they offer any kind of recurve or wind deflection design over stock? Nice stock replacement I suppose if you're not interested in improving aerodynamics of buffeting.

I have a clearview 9.5..I am not sure if the recurve does anything or not but what it does do is scratch wikit easy so it needs to be "all about the easy" with the clearview... :D
