Delicate line here and I don't want this construded as a political post; that's not my intent. Just thinking it would be nice to support Arizona vendors and service providers (even buy state bonds) in a time when these folks are being financially threatened because they are trying to preserve law and order in their state. Just a thought.

  The freedom to protest and boycott are just two of many freedoms the citizens and soldiers of this great Nation have fought, and died, to protect and defend.  But, you must first be a legal citizen to qualify as a, "defender."  ( Military - Law Enforcement - etc )

  If you fail to meet this legal qualification, to protect and defend our great country, please leave.

  Yes, we like it hot.  Our desire to be in the center of the, "Frying Pan," is evident.  If some doubt it, just ask the press.  Our beloved Sheriff Joe also receives more than his share of biased press.

  The recent focus on immigration shifted the press' attention away from the Arizona bill which allows legal citizens of our state to, "Carry,"  while requiring no, "Permit," from the gov't.  This law becomes effective July 29, 2010.   

  The heat is severe for approximately ten weeks.  The remaining forty-two weeks are mighty darn nice.  I love living in the Wild West!

Gladly spent some $'s there while passing through. Loved the northern areas of AZ, but back in my service days spent 5 hot hears in Tucson. Flagstaff and Sedona agree with me, as do the recent AZ laws on ILLEGAL immigration and firearms.

I have a feeling that the current legislature and administration in Arizona will keep right on coming up with controversial laws until the Federal weenies finally do their job.  I look at this law, as well as the one eliminating special ethnic classes in schools, as a "thumbing of the nose" at the Fed's.  And IMHO it is a well deserved thumbing of the nose.

I caught J.D. Hayworth (the Republican challenger to incumbent John McCain I believe) on O'Reilly the other night - J.D. is calling it a 'BUYcott'.

The second I heard that the law was enacted I began searching the job-boards for openings in AZ for my wife in anticipation of moving there (I'm an ambulance-chaser ... they got lots of ambulances in AZ so I don't have to worry 'bout myself).

J.D. also said there were 6-states working on very similar legislation - anyone have a bead on this?
