Fullsac X Pipe, TTS Mastertune & Dyno
« on: May 18, 2010, 10:21:36 PM »

Visited Steve last week in Lake Havasu and spent some time improving the Geezerglide.

First Dyno to get Base with V&H True Dual Header Pipe complete with Rhineharts, tuned with HD SERT. HP 87.60 & TQ 106.38.

After installation of Ceramic X Pipe and same Rhineharts, TTS Mastertune installed and some adjusting HP 95.81 & TQ 111.10

see Dyno Sheets.

Seat of the pants dyno; Crisper Throttle Response probably due to the TTS and some adjusting. Heat was never an issue as the V&H did not run hot. I do not know how it compares with others HP & TQ as I don't have time to reread all of the posts.

I am very happy with the results and down the road may look at headwork and cam change, for now I am leaving things the way they are. By the way any one looking for a V&H True Dual Header Pipe set up only c/w heat shields with only about 1,000 miles, in excellent condition. Also may sell the Rhineharts.

Thanks a lot Steve,

sounds good. I did my TTS download on the weekend, and noticed a definite improvement in throttle response and power, and hope for even more tomorrow, when the x pipe goes on.

So you rode down to AZ from Calgary?

North Star,

No I didn't drive down from Calgary. I keep my bike in Phoenix for the winter I rode over to Lake Havasu last Tuesday and hooked up with Steve and rode back to Phoenix that afternoon.

I am returning on June 11th and a couple of others are then riding over to Pala for the South West GTG and then heading to Calgary after.

I notice you are from Toronto, left TO in 1972, still go back to visit my mother, will be in TO again in August, looks like I'll miss Sturgis, first time in about 8 years.

why did you decide to change headers?  was there something specific to the VH that you did not like, other than the loss of some power?  did you think about the VH power duals or the Rinehart True Duals.  I am currently thinking about all three of those. Currently I have a catless header and 2.25 fullsac baffles.  Thanks

tlr,

I was not unhappy with the V&H Dual Header Pipe, it is a very well built, seems to be cosmetically better then Rhinehart, and in regards to the Rhinehart Mufflers, I was never really that much of a fan. I purchased the bike with this set up and I thought I would try the Ceramic Fullsac X Pipe, I may even change the Rhinehart Mufflers also.

My previous bikes had either V&H Pro Pipe or the Supertrapp Supermeg I was seriously looking at the SuperTrapp Supermeg, however they yet do not have one for the 2010 Ultras.

If you decide you like the V&H Dual Header Pipe I can let you have them for a good price, and if you like the look of the Rhinehart, they may be available also, all in excellent condition with only approx. 1,000 miles on them.

thanks.  i am still mulling over what to do.  Rinehart is coming out with a 4" muffler.  They told me mid June.  I like the look of the Rinehart better that the VH Power Dual but I really like the look of the VH Hi Output pipe.  decisions decisions
