Well now is the next flight!  Dallas to San Diego and what do you think happens?  Sitting in a three row seating pattern and along comes a young lady with her 10 months child to sit right next to me!  Chit!  What is this going to be like?

To break the ice and try to understand what I am in for I introduce myself and try to obtain some information regarding my 2-1/2 hour future.  I quick ask if this is his FIRST time flying and I am relieved to hear no he has traveled four times prior.  However she quickly adds that he can be quite mobile and this is our longest flight to date.  Another Chit!

So we start the flight and Pace, the young 10 month old child begins the “mobile” part of his journey.  This quickly subsides as the young lady gains quick control of her pride and joy.  During the remainder of the flight we had a couple of funny little times and I must state that I found that “travel manners” have not been lost on our young adults.  And as for Pace, I suspect he will grow to be a fine young man one day and it was a pleasure to have some fun with him.

Oh yeah did I mention that his Mom was HOT!  That did not cause any pain my way and certainly helped matters!

So we arrive to San Diego and the anticipation is building!  Lovely city San Diego and I hope to return and spend some quality time there but this was not the time to do that.  I have a motorsickle waiting FOR ME and I am ready FOR IT!

After our time to the car rental facility and the staff attempting to upgrade all of my pre-paid plans it was time to shove off to Chino and see what kind of condition my motorsickle would be in.

By the way...what the heck is this?

I ask last time but forgot the answer.

We make quite time to Three Way Logistics, better than I anticipated.  The motorsickle was there and right by the door for my pick up as I gave them a time for pick-up.  We inspected the bike for any potential damage that may have occurred during shipping.

It would be now that I would be holding my breath for a few minutes and wondered it I could get past this task.  One look, two looks, three looks and even two of their staff.  It appeared to be in the very condition I shipped it in!  WOW!

As we took the motorsickle off the pallet they helped me the entire time.  They ensured that the bike was able to crank and run along with a number of other check points.  He even brought the necessary paperwork over on a rolling table so I did not have to get off the bike.  Asked if I needed anything and when I responded no.  We were good to go!

My experience with Federal was nothing short of professional and if given the chance I would not hesitate to utilize them again.  In addition based upon the warehouse I saw mine was not the only bike they have ever shipped.  Which I already knew but what I needed to know is it would be treated as if it was the important bike they have ever shipped.  Mission Accomplished!

Now I am a happy camper and I am ready to journey towards our first night stay in sunny California!   I can now grow up and return to being as close to an adult as I can be.  But someone else is now the 10 year old and ready to enjoy the results of throwing their money, I mean winning lots of money at the casino!  So I will give you three guesses were I went after spending all of three minutes in the hotel room.

Think you know the answer…

Well that was a short lived event and maybe that is a blessing…first day here, three hour difference, early start, I am tried.  We have a number of more days ahead and look forward to them all.

Next – Chapter Three – The Pre-Ride Visit !  WOW!

Chapter Three - The Pre-Ride Visit!  WOW!

Day One

Alright while I may have retired early to some, 11pm which is 2am my time, it was time to wake up at 4:30am and that is late your time!  While we tried to remain asleep it just does not work.

5:15am…GET UP!!!!  So we do…lot’s to prepare for so it is not a task but a preparation for an event.  By 7:30am we are on the way to our next venue…Here are some hints.

-   It is the location of one of the most photographed “things” in the world.
-   The stars come out at night and in the day
-   It’s were you must be seen on the West Coast

If you guessed the In n’ Out Burger that was a nice try…Let’s try

It’s early Saturday morning and we arrive to the Hollywood/Beverly Hills area.  I decide to ride around prior to parking the motorsickle.  So we travel down Sunset Blvd. and come up on Mel’s Dinner and pull in for a bite to eat surprisingly enough not bad food and reasonably priced.

Remember why they called it “Sunset Strip”?  Well if you don’t it was because of all the Strip Clubs back in the day!  Ahhhhh….”Those were the days!”  Sex, Drugs and Rock ‘n Roll!

The last remaining Strip Club on Sunset Blvd.

It’s time now to go park the bike.  Now everyone knows that you can not come to Hollywood and not take a tour of the star’s homes if you have never performed this event before.  It had been yearrrrrrssss since I had performed this event soooooo….Next stop – A tour of homes!

Nothing says money quite like this sign
