Chapter Three - The Pre-Ride Visit!  WOW!

Day Two

With Day One over and for the most part, with the exception of my foolish oversight…notice I called it a foolish oversight other wise it was just a dumb azz mistake on my part.  It was time to spin the Wheel of Travel and see where we would be heading towards today.

The starting stop of the day would be Santa Monica

So we found a parking space and headed towards the World Famous Ending of Route 66.

Instantly we came up upon the Memorial on Beach

[Jock]

When we walked upon the pier I was reminded of my time with Vanamal in Santa Barbara and being able to drive upon the pier.

[Jock]

Funny thing about Santa Monica Beach…I did not see anyone utilizing their muscles at the “Muscle In” Café.

[Jock]

Okay, Okay…Time to place the check mark on Santa Monica and cruise down the highway to our next destination.



By the way Wrongway was right behind me!  What a friend and he is around me quick frequently too!

Now it would be here that a visitor from Germany would ask where on the beach the series Baywatch was filmed.  Funny thing!  Some of you would think that I was a fan and watched this show based upon some options I have heard.  The fact is I have never watched more than 10 minutes of that series.

Not wanting this guy to miss out on any opportunity he had a desire to accomplish on his trip I said…”It’s your lucky day you are in the middle of it!”  After a big grin on his face and the quick desire to park his rental car he went to the beach.

By the way while we were at Malibu Beach we dined at one of the more note worthy establishments in the area widely known to many of you.  I believe you can even see their well designed sign behind me.



Why of course I am speaking of Jack in the Box!  I work for a living and I am in CA do you think I can afford something else?  HA!

Now if I had the money that some of you had on this site I could really enjoy this area but for me it is time to head towards a place that more reflects my personality.

Venice Beach

Now I must admit my first impression of Venice Beach was not a happy one.







After reviewing this matter again perhaps it does reflect my personality.

So you may be thinking what was the ticket for…Being Southern, Sunburned and Stupid!

Wow!  That’s pretty much “right on!”  I am in my place!

After an event such as this one I needed some medical assistance from a trained professional and this could not be delayed
