Liscence plate relocation on a limited
« on: June 01, 2010, 12:34:41 PM »

Getting ready to remove the Tour-Pak and make it detachable on my 2010 Ultra Limited.  I'm looking for suggestions or ideas on how to relocate the Liscence plate to the fender...

Thanks,

Matt

I'd use FLHX pieces (turn signal bar and license plate bracket)

drill and dremel

I'm not skeered of drilling into the fender... did that on the serg.

Just seems like a lot of hardware between the fender bumper/light all the way up to the turn signal bar.

I could see switching over to bullet turn signals but not sure how much room I'd be left with for the plate.

Just want to see how others have done it on their Ultras...

Something like this ?

This is just off a street glide, not a big deal.

I will be interested in see what you come up with.  I have been looking to do this myself but the rear bumper lite keeps getting in the way.....I remember see a U-tube video that showed a reloation of the plate to under the stope lite.

I will see if I can find it.

Good luck and please keep us informed.

It was easier to find than I thought....you will see that the plate lays on-top of the chrome part of the bumper lite.

Great, thanks.  That's the light bar that comes standard on a RK standard I believe.
That all fills up the empty space on the fender... but there doesn't appear to be any other good options when detaching the TP.  I'll start collecting parts tomorrow.
