TourPak Ordered!!!!
« on: June 01, 2010, 02:01:35 PM »

Well, I finally got the King Tourpak and required hardware on order from LSHD.

Sturgis is only about 9 weeks away, so I wanted to have it before then.  The Mrs and I are planning on riding up there from CO this year, and having the extra storage will be very beneficial.

Now, time to wait the 6-8 weeks.  What a joy!

lshd1 Items:
     1    79071-10DEM    CLASSIC KING TOURPAK FLHXSE-TEQ SUNRISE
         $979.96
     1    52892-98A    T-PAK BACKREST, SMOOTH
         $159.96
     1    53276-09A    DETACH TWO-UP TOUR-PACK MNTG BRKT/FLTH
         $143.96
     1    54205-09    DOCKING HARDWARE KIT, 4 POINT
         $119.96
     1    53302-07    FITTED T-PAK LINER W/O LIGHTS
         $63.96

Sub-Total
$1,467.80
UPS Shipping          $0.00
Sales Tax         $0.00
lshd1 Total         $1,467.80
Store Credit         -$0.00
TOTAL DUE         $1,467.80

All that's left is the lock and the premium hinges.  You would think that the premium hinges would be standard on the CVO TourPaks.

LSHD finally had the Chopped TourPak added to their parts database.

I don't plan on using it all the time, so I opted for the King TourPak.  When I will need the space, I WILL need the space!  Plus, amazingly enough, the Chopped TP was more expensive (only $5 more though).

I can't wait!!!!!   :orange: :huepfenjump3: :pepper: :drink:

I ordered the same set up but added the speaker pods and speakers (love good tunes on a long haul)!

I am now contemplating Sturgis... long ride from Richmond VA!

Where did you order the speakers and pods from?  Does the left pod have the switches that the Ultra has on it?

There is a TSB out that lists the part numbers you need to get a "keyed alike" lockset for the tourpak.

Yup, I plan on ordering that locally from my dealer so that they're keyed alike.  I didn't want to order that online.  I gotta throw my dealer a bone every now and then!

Ordered the speakers and pods at the same time as the KTP from the dealer.

Good question on the left pod switches... it has a seperate amp so I would think so.  I'll ask this weekend when I am there to write out a giant check! :zstupid:

I want a dealership that fills like they need to throw me a bone every now and then.  That's why I traveled 200 miles with five other dealerships closer, to get the best deal I could on my bike and why I buy from Jenni.  If my dealership could match them, they'd get my business on warrant and not because I felt like I was supposed to throw them a bone.

Had a dealership tell me there wasn't a lock kit (keyed alike) available and that I had to buy the lock and all the parts seperately ($36), went back home and found it here for $19.95.....   http://www.harley-davidson.com/gma/gma_product.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=845524448771285&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374302286957&ASSORTMENT%3C%3East_id=2534374302286957&bmUID=1275752943411&bmLocale=en_US

By the way......where to find your key code?  With you ignition key pull the rubber cover off the end of the key and the code is stamped in the key lightly.....then just put the rubber cover back on the key. :2vrolijk_21:  It's also on the little tiny metal plate that was on your key (many guys throw that away, right away, thinking it's nothing) ring when you got them.

My wife keeps all her passwords, alarm codes, key codes, etc. in her Droid phone.  Never know when you'll need that info. on the road.

George,,, You will wish you had ordered a king....  the chopped just doesn't hold enough,  If you ride with a helmut and put it in there, it's full and you can barely fit anything else in it. >:(
