Getting the idle down...
« on: June 03, 2010, 10:07:06 AM »

My '02 Softail was a carbed bike, so I could easily turn the idle down to get HD potato idle.  Forgive my ignorance, but with the fuelie bikes can the Super Tuner be used to lower the idle?  (I am putting Rinehart true duals on it, so the re-map is required)

Yea... SB20... I found another thread that discusses the low lopey idle and the oil pressure issues... makes sense. Guess I'll keep the 1k idle :beadyeyes2:

Definitely be careful there.  Those of us that grew up with small block Chevy and Ford motors got used to hearing slow loping idles.  So it sounds "right."  Right is very relative from system to system though.  Though our ears might like that slow loping idle these engines very often will not.
