I am attaching the warranty doc.  I am confused about when a 5 year policy begins... after the factory warranty expires?

Look at the fine print under the "New Harley Davidson Motorcycles Retail price list" Black line... "Terms include Factory Warranty. Coverage begins on in-service date."  That would imply that a 5 year warranty for $999 would give you just that 5 years.

Look at the third red arrow... states " Starts day after factory warranty expires" for Mechanical Breakdown Coverage.  So does that mean for $999 you get 7 years if the motor takes a dump?

What if you wait until the factory warranty is about to expire and pay the $150 addititional... will that give you 5 yrs of coverage from date of warranty purchase?

Take 2 years away from whatever they say is the warranty.  7 years is really 5 additional years. % years of extended warranty with a deductible and subject to the approval of a third party company that administers and underwrites the policy.
