I know the importance of a good tuner setting up the maps with some time on dyno...

The shop I purchased my SESG from doesn't do dyno tuning... they will obviously use a canned map set with the Super Tuner.

Can anyone recommend a good, experienced dyno shop in the Richmond VA area?

Thanks in advance,
Mal

I can not speak from personal experience but from "hear say" I understand that these guys are pretty good.

Thanks aclass.... it won't be for a few weeks... But I will more than likely get on Departure's schedule for a dyno tuning session!

See Danny at Richmond HD North in Glenn Allen.  He's tuned both of my CVO's and does a good job.  He's the most comfortable with the SEST.  Tell him Charlie with the Spiced Rum SESG sent you.  He'll do ya right.

Just spoke with the guys at Departure. I told them I have a 2009 SEUC with pipes and air cleaner with the HD race tuner. Told him it never runs right. He said it does not need the tuner and said to take it out. Cost for him to do it and check the bike $80.

Got to agree with Doc on this one...that ain't right.  Find another tuner.  They may have built race bikes, but they're blowing smoke up your back-side on that one.  You can run the 110s with the stock map with new pipes, headers and air cleaner, but it will run even more lean then it already is and you'll have more problems down the line.  Get the bike to a reliable tuner and have it done right.

Do not go to Devil Dawg in Chantilly...their main HD guy left last year and the whole shop went to crap. I am surprised they are still in business.

Fort Washington HD was a great dyno tuner.

Lynchburg HD built and tuned my Roadking, hopefully they will be able to get my ultra in the shop next week for pipes, tuner, first service and Brian can do his magic on the dyno. if you want, give them a call and ask for Keifer in service.
