Just a thought, and I believe something similar has been done to tour pak antenna holes.

What about a plastic/rubber plug painted with some touch up paint? Seems that would be inexpensive, and if paint starts to peel, just buy another plug and paint again.

My dealer had some little black plug with an HD script design he used the help hide mine....have you asked your dealer parts guy or service manager. I don't have any idea of a parts number.

I also bought a chrome screw in type cap from a local indepenent shop a while back again  no idea on the maker or part#.

Another thing I've used in the past is a "short" allen screw and chrome washer, then cover the allen screw head with a 'Hot Topper".

Whatever you use keep in short or it may dig into your rear tire when riding............

The stealer parts counter should have 2 different choices. Both are plastic, one is chrome and the other is black. They are short (3/8 - 1/2") universal thread plug types that just screw in. If memory serves, i think they are about $2. Wait a minute, there is nothing at the stealer $2. (maybe water) ;D

Yup, the MoFoMoCo have a part for doing just that.  It's a chrome plastic cap - looks OK.  I can't find it in the P&A Book, and although I have the packet here, the part number on it is unusual for a HD part - 762, but the description is "chrome seat nut cap".

Go to www.jpcycles.com check out the seat section for harleys. You should be able to find something there. A fender bib might be what your looking for.

Good luck,

I use a lic. plate eagle head bolt and a rubber washer from the hardware store. Look in any after market parts book for the bolt, most come with differant colored eyes.

tuned,

How about a chrome knurled cap screw, or one of the H-D tailpieces.
