Mike I wouldn't say it's not worth the hassle and expense. I personally got the Tune-trapper ($23 on ebay) and also tried the short $5 rubber flexible antenna. Both were efficient for the cost and appearance. Really no hassle removing front fairing to install, few screws and plug her in. I guess it matters on your area and strength in stations whether it's worth it or not. [smiley=nixweiss.gif]Personally, I am looking to go to satellite radio myself! That way I can stay on certain stations and not have to hunt to find what I'm looking for. Of course that's when the CD gets action! [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif] Yes, there are better alternatives out there, but it's about your needs and wants and what your pocket book can afford! [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]JR [smiley=banana.gif]
Well, I can afford anything I want. But my experience with a fairing antenna wasnt good. Just my opinion of course. All the expense and trouble and a 5 dollar rubber ducky works just as good. Done with that, now, I just got a XM radio from my best half and its the greatest, I have a long commute and I'm listening to anything I want, old time radio, albums, tons of talk, sports, news, weather, I love this thing. I'm going to get a mount for the bike and use my Ipod, XM or CD's radio sucks, all you ever hear is damn car commercials screamin good credit no credit bad credit. Damn, I couldnt take it anymore.
