oil pump question
« on: June 15, 2010, 01:37:57 PM »

I have an 06 seuc and changing my cam plate and oil pump to the 07 and up style.  I can't find any diagrams for the new oil pump since all the instructions say refer to manual.  I don't have any manual past 06.  Does anyone have a diagram or say if there is anything i need to do with the new pump to the cam plate?  Thought i had heard something earlier about not forgetting an o-ring somewhere.

Well you are going to have a problem if you try to bolt that in your cam plate. What cam plate are you using?

I have the correct can plate for it. Just wanted to make sure that it bolted up direct to it with no gasket or o rings

The pump is now metal to metal, no front oring. Plug and play with the right parts assuming your motor is not a 99 "A" motor.
The roller chain and hydra tensioner setup has a spacer adjustment that is important, front cam gets .100 rear can be anything from .110-.140 IME
Go to Andrewsproducts.com and download the conversion cam instruction sheet for details
