MC Parking in NYC?
« on: June 16, 2010, 10:25:19 AM »

Hey gang, I am thinking about riding to work once in a while and I am having a really hard time finding a MC friendly garage in NYC. I work in midtown near Grand Central Station and although there is street parking I am not willing to leave my CVO unattended in public for a full day.

Does anyone know of a decent place to park near 45th & Lexington within a 10 block radius? I have been asking around and speaking to the garage managers and so far no dice. I don't want to just ride on in and find I have to other option but the street or somewhere so far that I need to take a cab back to the office.

Thanks,

MikeV

I found 2 garages on 44th between 2nd & 3rd that will take bikes. The smaller of the 2 is right next to the Rachel Ray studio and will daily daily parkers for $15/day. There were several bikes there already including some nice H-D's. I'll give them a try tomorrow.

You should visit a few of the garages in the area around your office.  Some garages have smaller areas they cannot fit a car into due to support poles and the like.  Negotiate and make a deal to park your bike for a fraction of what they charge for a car.  Many garages are used to doing this already.

Good luck!
