looks state of the art, Nigel - but don't use ceramics - take stoneware. Much better climate.

I got a whole bunch of flooring tiles for free from the conservatory company, that had been used for a spring trade exhibition................

hihihi got a bargain the other day, just popped into the local Coop baumarkt to price up some decking material, in the foyer was some rattan furniture, there was a coffee table about 1m square with a glass top, there was an advert on stating it was half price reduced down to 74.50.....we thought hell those things are never so cheap we will have to get it! So after looking around the store we asked at the cashier for one of those half price tables, we were advised to ask at info desk, which we did, the guy went off to get a table from the store, we opened the carboard box to inspect it for damaged....then went to the cashier, when we were asked for 299.00 for it!!!!!!!!  anyway after discussion with the supervisor and store manager it was demmed that the wrong pricing advert was placed on the wrong table my mistake, after more discussion we purchased the item at 110.00

I have extended the low wall on the right about 3feet and laid some gravel over a fleece liner, I will construct some decking on this area at a later date and render the wall, paint it white and use some decking on the top to make some seating.

I did a dry run and laid out the floor tiles to check spacing and alignment, having never laid a tile floor before, its seems to fit quite well no cutting along the long length, just the 45° corner will take some care cutting around the green frame posts, wish me luck on saturday!

even though it was a quite straight forward job, it was my first attempt at a tiled floor, it was quite stressful at times trying to work before the fixing cement dried to much, next job on monday evening will be to cut and fit the two remaining tiles and then do the grouting between the tiles on tuesday evening and silikon around the outer edge on wednesday evening, touch up the paintwork thursday evening, friday evening will be the final cleaning of the flooring then next weekend we can move the furniture in.

looks nice Nigel - but don't forget the additional isolation of the walls  ;)

I see you got prepared for the monsoon season to come these days   ;D

I want to accept the new heat source into the walls of the house not keep it out!

ps: the insects have already moved in

you may get humidity instead of heat I'm afraid.

But you will know next year if this will be a considerable or neglectable problem  ;)
