T-Bags RK Windshield Bag
« on: June 20, 2010, 07:47:02 AM »

I ordered the new T-Bags large windshield bag for Road Kings.  If I did it right a photo is attached.  It's item TB3500RKWB.  I believe it can be made to work, but was set up for the three-bolt windshield on a regular RK rather than the five-bolt on the CVOs.  The center bold is supposed to go through the bag, but the one on ours doesn't seem to line up.  There are stick-on velcro strips that attached to the windshield and those may be enough to hold it in place.  The bag is quite large and has both a zipper and velcro closure on the top, so you can access things quickly underway without having to fight to open it.  I haven't had a chance to ride with it, so don't know if it does anything to the airflow by filling in the gap between the shield and speedo.

Update: Holds a lot (wallet, phone, glasses, two pairs of gloves, ear plugs, skully, and camera with room left).  Stays in place with one strip of velcro an inch or so above the cross bar on the windshield.  Easy to put on and take off.  Not water-proof even behind the shield; after 140 miles of rain it was damp inside.  Overall I'd say a good purchase but use a big zip-loc.
