HUH, HAVE TO BE THERE ! You mean Have the pleasure of being there. I rented a Road King Classic for a week on Kauai five years ago. A great place for beach and sun. But, I'm a misplaced Island guy.

Nice place to visit for a long weekend or short vacation.  Never want to live there.

Too small.  Can't live someplace where getting the urge for a weekend road trip will (literally) run you out of country or six months of riding means you've covered the whole place.....

Ok! I'm caught I promised my oldest grandaughter when she graduated from High School I'd take her to the Islands, but really what I was asking for is help with  where I could rent a bike is there a dealer over there that rents. Shes got to give aleast one day for G-Pa. What better way to see the Island.

I will be in Oahu in March...HOG has rentals as well as HD there.  I will have at least one weekend for myself.

There are only 2 'Harley' dealerships that have the 'Fly and Ride' program in Hawaii.  One on Oahu and another on Maui.  But there may still be someone on Kauii that rents.  Try looking up the dealer there, 'Two Wheels' I think.  Some dealerships have rentals but aren't in the corporate 'Fly and Ride' program.  Good Luck.   8-)

Two Wheels is the dealer but when I rented on Kuaia I went through an outfit called "Hawaiian Riders". They also rent Vipers,Vettes,Prowlers,and other Exotics. I can't say they are still in business.

You might want to try CruizinHawaii.  Their site is http://www.cruzinhawaii.com/  Several buddies have used them in the past and reported that they were cheaper than "official" HD rentals and had reasonably good scoots.  Hope it helps.

Don, there's an ad in the back of Thunder Press where you can rent there condo and there Electra Glide for a week.  Check out the classifieds.......it's been in there for about six months.

               I spent 7 months on oahu in 05 and many more in previous years  The H-D dealer Cycle City is off Nimitz near the airport and rents bikes for 24 hr time periods which run from noon to noon. There are other rental shops down near Waikiki that rent stock and custom rides. Your choice. My advice if you are taking your daughter is to stick with Oahu because the other islands are great for sightseeing and even better for romantic getaways, but the night life and shopping etc on Oahu is No Ka Oi (the best) When you rent a bike take H-1 to H-2 to 99 and you'll be riding past the Pipeline and Sunset Beach and some great shrimp trucks. Also in Haleiwa in the center of town (it's a little town believe me) near the supermarket  check out the huli-huli chicken  again No Ka Oi  If you want to find a quiet beach for a picnic check out the public beach at Bellows Air Base. Cheap souveniers either downtown at the International Market place or the swap meet weekends at the stadium. The Arizona Memorial and Battleship Missouri and must sees as well as doing a lua (my favorite is Paradise Cove) If your daughter is of age check out Mai Tai's nightclub on the 3rd floor of the  Ala Moana Shopping Mall

Hey Q,
          In 52 years, I've been to a few locales, but not 1/2 as many as Beags.Nobody asked about Vienna, or Shanghai, or Hong Kong, or his personal favorite, Mexico City or you would have gotten the run down from him. As to knowing a few things, mostly I like to stick my nose into other people's business cause I'm the nosy type.    Some of it stuck I guess.
