To CVO Or Not To CVO?
« on: June 24, 2010, 12:44:11 PM »

I know this is a CVO forum So I should be able to guess you thoughts! ;D It's between a 2011 Merlot Street Glide non CVO and a 2010 Spiced Rum CVO. I doubt I'll have any regrets no matter what I choose......That CVO on the showroom floor has really caught my eye but it's 10K (I can get it for $1500 under MSRP) more and it'll be a year older in a month......Hum! What to do? Also The dealer told me that Street Glides will be back for 2011 in the CVO lineup! No information on colors, pricing or any changes as of yet. :nervous:

I would go CVO, the best choice I ever made after having stock Harleys.

I was in a similar situation recently and picked the CVO. I am a Road Glide kinda guy and was looking at a new 2010 RG initially. I always liked the features and paint of the SERG and once I put a pencil to it, the SERG, even though being a year older ended up being a better financial choice for me. By the time I added items missing from a stock RG that I want, I could have easily exceeded my cost of the SERG and then when I decide to sell it, all the things I added would do little in a higher resale value. So CVO was my choice.

CVO... or Victory!

Victory? are you kidding? :dier_13: Go to their site...they have 2009 models on sale for $2-3000 off MSRP still in the dealers show rooms....How well do you think they will hold their value? + While Victory are made here they are not a US company and are not Union Made both are very important to me. I don't want this to be political these are just my values. So it is either a standard or CVO for me and it will be HD MOCO Made! :2vrolijk_21:

I bought mine because it was green and I had to the money and could afford it and wanted it. I sold the other (HD's) after owning the green one for a few months they just were not getting ridden enough to justify keeping them the green ones go faster and ride smoother than the other colors that is why I have one.

Myself and the missus just finished up the epically fun SW GTG on a stock 96 inch classic, rental donchaknow...
I had to flog the poor old thing to keep up with the tuned 110's.

On the other side of the argument is that 10k is lots of gas, food and hotels...

I enjoy my 09cuse4 alot because it is silver, the fastest of the fast colors, is smoother and hides the dirt well.  ;D

We also went to the SW GTG and the tuned 110's do VERY well.  The red ones have so much torque that when you accelerate they make you look younger.....

The question in your title....has been asked...and answered by many, many CVO owners here.

The SESG (even if it is spiced rum) is a damn good deal at $1,500 below MSRP.  I only know of two other members of this forum that got that kind of deal.  And, it would still be a "new" bike, even if the model year is about up.  Your factory warranty is still two years and you'll have about the lowest mileage 2010. :2vrolijk_21:

If I was gonna trade it would be for a spice rum SESG but in defense of my green on just an old stock   I have not found a  110 that will keep up

Hello Guys, I am a new owner of a 2010 CVO Electra Glide Ultra Black # 419, It was a tough decision but once the black dragon was mine to ride I knew I made the right choice. It has everything I wanted in a Harley and rides even better than I thought. I traded right up the line till I fell in love with my CVO. I have owned a 72 Sportster, 03 Wide Glide, 05 Springer, 09 ultra and a street Glide. The CVO has it all and i think this will be my main ride. If you can do it, go for th CVO, it is a keeper.
